Count pulses in demanding environments
The Monnit Industrial Pulse counter is ideal for demanding indoor/outdoor environments like warehouses and production facilities. It can be connected to the pulse output of a system (water meter, power met, etc.) to count the number if actuations within a given time frame or aggregate pulses in an ongoing accumulation. The device is capable of counting passive (open/closed switch) and active (up to +15 VDC) pulses and can count the positive edge, negative edge or both edges of a pulse.
The counter includes 3 software configurable low pass filter settings (No filter, 40 Hz filter, or 4 Hz filter) and can filter pulses with pulse widths greater than those designated in the technical specifications. For example, if the 4Hz filter is set, the pulse counter will count a pulse if its width is longer than 250 ms, if its width is shorter than 250 ms it will be completely or partially filtered.
The sensor can be programmed to send an alert through the iMonnit Online Sensor Monitoring and Notification System when a given number of pulses have been reached within a set time frame. These alerts from the iMonnit system are sent in real time via SMS text or email.
The pulse counter sensor comes standard with 1500 mAh battery. All industrial sensors are enclosed in reliable, weatherproof NEMA-rated enclosures. The NEMA-rated enclosures are constructed for both indoor and outdoor use. These enclosures protects the sensor circuitry against:
- Falling dirt
- Wind-blown dust
- Rain, sleet, snow, splashing water, and hose-directed water
- Ice formation on the enclosure
- Provides an increased level of corrosion resistance
Features
- Impressive wireless range of up to 1,200 feet through walls
- Frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS)
- Improved interference immunity
- Improved power management for longer battery life
- Encrypt-RF® Security (Diffie-Hellman Key Exchange + AES-128 CBC for sensor data messages)
- Stores 2000 to 4000 readings if gateway connection is lost (non-volatile flash, persists through the power cycle)
- 10-minute heartbeats = ~ 22 days
- 2-hour heartbeats = ~ 266 days
- Over-the-air updates
- Free iMonnit basic online wireless sensor monitoring and notification system to configure sensors, view data and set alerts via SMS text and email
Applications
- Water, gas and air flow meters
- Door access counter
- Turn style counting
- Forklift swat switches
- Button or switch integration
- Production line tracking
